May the luck o’ the Irish be with you…

Ya, I know. I’m Scottish but still there’s loads of fun to be had at St Paddy’s Day.

When I was a wee girl, my father always told me when a rainbow came out over the hill on our farm where the stone circle is that if I looked hard enough I’d find the pot of gold at the end of it. I searched and searched AND searched and the only thing that happened was the rainbow got further away or faded to nothing.

I love corned beef and cabbage – a traditional Irish dish – so have persuaded my mum to make it for our tea.

And while some people will be wearing green hats with shamrocks on them and drinking green beer (yuck),

my Dad will have some of his mates over for a drink or two. He’s already got his Irish whisky out on display on the sideboard in our family dining room. The party will move to the lounge I’m sure…

I’d love to hear if you celbrate St Patrick’s Day in any of the ways I’m mentioned. And if you do something different, I’d love to hear that, too.
